Publish your Essay—how to find, read, and download documents

 

 

 

Expository prose works authored by Electricka's visitors come to you in the form of Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) document files (file extension .pdf). They can be opened on any kind or brand of computer or electronic hand-held device that supports Adobe Reader©.

to Read a document in your browser

  1. Open the Table Of Contents (TOC) titled Expository Prose Works Authored by Electricka's Visitors.
  2. Each row contains information that describes a document. Visually scan the rows or use keywords to decide which document you want to view.
  3. To see a document, click the word OPEN next to the title of the document.
  4. The document appears in the Adobe Reader on your computer screen in a new browser window.
  5. Read the document on your screen.

Option:

  1. Follow Steps 1 & 2 above to decide what document you want to view.
  2. To see the document, right-click the word OPEN next to the title of the document. A menu opens in your browser.
  3. Select the command in the browser that opens the document file in a new browser window; or select the command that opens the document file in a new browser tab.
  4. Read the document in your new browser window or tab.

NOTE: This option let's you keep the TOC open while you read a document.

to Download

  1. Follow Steps 1 and 2, above, to decide what document you want to view.
  2. To see the document, right-click the word OPEN next to the title of the document. A menu opens in the browser.
  3. From the menu that opens in your browser, select the command to "Save target as..." and follow the browser's directions for saving the document file in your computer.

NOTE: Opening long document files in your browser can consume large amounts of time. With this procedure you can SAVE a document quickly and read or print it later.

Finding, sorting, printing and copying

  • To sort rows in ascending or descending order, click the title of the column you want to sort in the top row of the TOC.
  • Use Advanced Search for more complex keyword searching functions.
  • Follow the directions for printing, copying, and other document management functions you find in the Adobe Reader.
