S. Merchant Marine and U. S. Army Veteran I just ran across the "Music of WWII" as I researched a live traveling War Bond production of "This is The Army" that I was fortunate enough to see back in the 40's in Detroit.

Anyway as I searched that link I came to a page that said Music of WWII and I found a line that said: "<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; : rgb(255, 255, 255);" ="Apple-style-span">You're listening to two selections taken from a single recording by Harry James and his orchestra."

Unfortunately I'm not listening to anything and I'm wondering how I trigger something to start that music. It looks like I could easily spend hours at this site but although I'm pretty literate about computers since I've been using them for 30 some years, I don't know how I trigger those two songs from the page I'm looking at.

Can you help me.

Muse Of Music answer:

Only certain pages at Electricka's site are designed to play automatically when they open, and the music you are asking to hear is on one of these pages.

The feature that automatically plays music when a page opens is supported by all Internet Explorer browsers. The feature is not supported by other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox. This may be the cause of your problem.

If you want to hear music that plays when a page opens, we suggest that you open pages with Internet Explorer.

No matter what browser you use, you should not be having trouble hearing music on any page, including pages that do not play when they open, if you click links or images. You can hear most of the Music of WWII music this way, even if you can't hear music that automatically plays when pages open.

As you know, all browsers have their limitations and the vast majority of Internet web sites do not support every feature in every browser. Some sites avoid such limitations by not using features that are not shared by all browsers. Our visitors enjoy this feature so much, we continue to use it even though some browsers don't keep up.

Other visitors have told us that they like the feature that plays music when a page opens very much and that they would like to be able to use other browsers without giving it up. We are exploring possible workarounds that might make this possible.

Electricka has selected Internet Explorer as its standard browser and she tries to support all of its features. If you are using Internet Explorer and don't hear music for pages that open, you may be experiencing another problem. Let us know if this is the case and we will look at your issue again in greater detail.

We hope you have a wonderful and rewarding time with Music of WWII and with Electricka's other features. Thanks for your interest and for your military service.

The Muse Of Music

</t>
